Psychedelic popsters, The Aloha Steamtrain, are loved both for their catchy, powerful, beautiful songs and for their bewildering, hysterical, and moving concerts.

With two critically acclaimed albums, Girl Planet and Now You Know The Aloha Steamtrain under the belts and a third one on the way, they continue to grow and create songs that are at the same time Happy and Angry, Beautiful and Lecherous, Abstract and Dead-On. That's why they have been asked to grace six compilation albums, including the recent Mike Nesmith tribute, "Papa Nez".

The Steamtrain evolved in Northampton, Massachusetts, home to some of music's great modern innovators, Sonic Youth, Lloyd Cole, Dar Williams, Fountains of Wayne, and a few years ago The Pixies, Buffalo Tom, Dinosaur Jr., and Sebadoah. A tiny college town between New York City and Boston, Northampton is a hotbed of creativity.

Lord Russ, who has been dubbed "The Golden Voice of the Pioneer Valley" fronts the band. He's your shirtless lover and your boyfriend's worst nightmare. With a voice and a presence not seen since the likes of Iggy Pop, David Bowie, or Tom Jones his songs hypnotize and his performances are always unforgettable.

Please explore these pages and get to know the band intimately while you still can.
